How to Remove Vinegar Stains From Your Upholstered Furniture?

Vinegar is the most incredible natural ingredient that is used for cleaning. As you have probably seen already, it’s even used for cleaning upholstery, however, there is one very important thing to keep in mind – the right vinegar to use is the distilled white one. All other kinds aren’t suitable and will leave a stain behind.

So if you happened to spill vinegar on your upholstered furniture – and it’s not distilled white vinegar then keep on reading so you know how to remove these stains as fast as possible!

How to Remove Vinegar Stains From Your Upholstered Furniture?

Start with blotting the affected area with a damp paper towel. You need to blot the stain rather than rub or wipe it because you do not want to drive the liquid further into the fabric.

Then mix a teaspoon of dishwashing detergent with a cup of cold water in a bowl. Dip a sponge in there and start treating the stained area. This will get rid of the discolouration caused by the vinegar.

Then, of course, you need to blot the area with a paper towel as well as rinse it with a damp cloth. Leaving soap on any upholstery will create a dirty patch over time because the soap attracts impurities. Dip a cloth in water and remove the soapy mixture.

Last but not least, you need to allow the area to air dry. Do not apply heat to it with your blow dryer, for example. Just let it dry and don’t touch it nor sit on it.
